NAWIC Scholarships

"Thanks to the generous scholarship from the National Association of Women in Construction, I am able to go back to school, earn my carpentry certificate and enter a field I've dreamed of being a part of since I was a little girl. Now my passions in life and work can become one, and that means the world to me. Thank you!"  (Alicia L. - 2019 scholarship recepient)

2018 Proclamation

Below and attached is a copy of the 2018 Proclamation, signed by Governor John Hickenlooper, declaring October 2018 Colorado Construction Careers Month!  This is the 2nd year in a row the Governor has granted this proclamation and having the Governor recognize the need to increase public awareness and appreciation of construction craft professionals, and the entire construction workforce, is great backing of our Workforce Development endeavors.   The renewed admiration being shown to construction craft professionals and the critical role they play in developing our state should be an encouraging influence to those exploring construction pathways.

AGC will continue to honor Gov. Hickenlooper’s proclamation well beyond the month of October to assist Coloradoans in their efforts to embark on a career in construction. We are committed to offering support to local schools and students interested in exploring a successful career in the Colorado construction industry.
